The Müggelsee in the district of Treptow-Köpenick is the largest of Berlin's lakes. It is divided into the Greater and the Smaller Müggelsee and extends over a total area of 7.4 square kilometres.

The large area of the Müggelsees offers a variety of possibilities for water sports aficionados: sailing and surfing is allowed everywhere, and the operation of motor sport boats is possible inside the marked fairways. The area around the lakee features numerous restaurants and cafés, boathouses, and the museum of the historic Friedrichshagen waterworks. Various boat tours offer stunning views of the lake and its surroundings.

Swimming in ²Ñü²µ²µ±ð±ô²õ±ð±ð

On the shore of the Müggel lake there are numerous places to go swimming. Since there is no longer an operator, bathers have free admission to the Müggelsee lido. Strandbad Friedrichshagen also offers sandy beaches and a holiday feeling. West of the Strandbad Müggelsee under the steep bank there is a nudist area.

The Müggelsee is the largest and one of the most famous lakes in Berlin. Through it flows a part of the Spree, which is also called Müggelspree. The districts Köpenick, Friedrichshagen, Rahnsdorf and Müggelheim in the district Treptow-Köpenick border on the lake.
